Beberapa hari terakhir lagu Lonely milik 2NE1 ini selalu setia menemani saya. Sebenarnya liriknya sendiri kurang begitu nyambung dengan kondisi saya saat ini, mengingat Lonely yang satu ini bercerita tentang seseorang yang sudah tak mencintai pasangannya lagi. Namun toh tetap saja tiap kali mendengar lagu ini saya selalu mengasosiasikan-nya dengan energi buruk yang entah mengapa tak kunjung mau pergi dari saya beberapa waktu terakhir.

Bicara soal kesepian, mau tak mau saya teringat pada sebuah film Thailand yang saya tonton beberapa bulan yang lalu berjudul Bangkok Traffic Love Story. Film tersebut bercerita tentang Mei Li yang merasa kesepian setelah ditinggal sahabatnya menikah. Kesepian yang semakin terasa menyakitkan saat dirinya sadar bahwa selain Ped, dia tak punya orang lain lagi untuk bisa menjadi tempatnya berbagi.

Dalam perjalanan pulang dari pernikahan Ped, Mei Li bertemu Lung yang menolongnya saat hampir mengalami kecelakaan. Dengan Lung inilah Mei Li memutuskan untuk berusaha segera mengakhiri masa kesendiriannya. Sayangnya kisahnya dengan Lung tak berjalan seindah yang dibayangkan. Karena justru di saat merasa cintanya berbalas, Mei Li harus menghadapi kenyataan kalau Lung harus meninggalkannya. Nah, salah satu scene yang paling mengena di hati saya adalah ketika dalam rasa putus asanya Mei Li mendatangi Ped hanya untuk bertanya,

“what if you have a boyfriend but he’s not available to eat with you,
he doesn’t have time to go anywhere with you,
then what’s the use in having boyfriend,
if we’re not together then how can we call each other boyfriend and girlfriend?”

Lalu apa jawaban Ped?

“People don’t have boyfriend or girlfriend to be together all the time
they have them to know that there’s still someone who loves them“

Mungkin jawaban yang diberikan Ped tidak 100% benar. Mungkin jawaban itu juga tidak serta merta menghilangkan rasa kesepian yang melanda Mei Li. Namun setidaknya jawaban itu bisa memberikan sedikit pencerahan bagi Mei Li saat itu, dan juga bagi saya secara pribadi. Bahwa selama masih ada yang menyayangi kita, maka kecil kemungkinan kita akan merasa kesepian.

Namun jika membaca kembali lirik lagu 2NE1 yang saya dengarkan ini -bahwa di saat bersama kekasihnya pun, si gadis tetap merasa kesepian- membuat saya bertanya-tanya..
